Visit Marzipan, the first Almond Museum in Sicily, housing a permanent collection of over 200 varieties of the precious fruit.
The museum hosts a collection of Sicilian almonds, which is a great resource for the study of almonds and, in particular, the Sicilian varieties.
At the Marzipan Museum your  will learn about the history of almonds and their properties. It hosts antique tools used in the various stages of production, from the harvest to the culinary uses.
Sicily is the island of the almonds.
The Phoenicians brought them here many centuries ago and the Sicilians transformed this great fruit into unique cookies, so there is no better place in the world where to taste, enjoy and learn about almonds. 

The Museum is located close to the archaeological area of the Valley of the Temples, in Favara, a town well-known for the traditional Easter lamb cake made from almond paste. The museum is in a beautiful building that was once an almond factory.

Almond sweet, marzipan, cubaita (Sicilian nougat), cakes…

Marzipan is also a Cooking School where guests can learn about the famous Sicilian cookies and how to prepare these delicacies and other traditional Sicilian dishes or ejoy a special dinner with a cooking show.

This experience has guests spending a morning or afternoon at the  Marzipan Cooking School and includes

- Welcome drink, fresh homemade lemonade served with typical Sicilian snacks;
- Cooking course lasting about three hours, using fresh, local organic produce; guests will receive instructional hands-on lessons in the preparation of three traditional Sicilian dishes;
- Tour of the Almond Museum  and Milk Almond Tasting at La Latteria
- Lunch or dinner consisting of the dishes prepared during the course with wine and seasonal fruit.
